The Call of life

Kevin Norwood Quartet
Prochain album

  • Would you soar, evermore

    Would you dream as before

    Could you soar, nevermore

As we dream to the distant shores

We carve new path as we go

Finding more that we could know

    Fearless,

We’re leaving tracks as we flow

As we bloom and gently grow

Side by side, we journey on

    Endlessly bound

    Forever one

    You teach me life’s embrace

    Guiding me through life

    With care

    In your gentle grace

Would you ever be, my wandering star ?

Could you ever be, the one that I desireWould you ever be, my wandering star ?

Could you ever be, the one that I admire

Would you roam, far from home ?

Would you seek lands unknown ?

Could you soar on your own ?

As we chase dreams (yet) unknown?

Hand in hand, we travel far

    Bound as we are

    We are locked as one

    You teach me life’s embrace

    Guiding me through life

    With care

    In your gentle grace

Would you ever be, my wandering star ?

Could you ever be, the one that I desire ?

Would you ever be, my wandering star ?

Could you ever be, the one that I admire ?Through the darkest skies, I see you shine

Falling, rising high and clearing my mind

Through the shifting tides, you stay so near

Holding, lifting me and easing my tears

Would you ever be, my wandering star ?

Could you ever be, the one that I desire ?

Would you ever be, my wandering star ?

Could you ever be, the one that I admire

Would you stay, come what may?

Would you lead night to day?

    Could we soar, far away,

As our dreams light the …

Would you stay, come what may?

Would you lead night to day?

    Could we soar, far away,

As our dreams light the way ?

  • Breathe it deep,

    Hold it near,

    Let it bloom,

    Find it now, gently stirring,

    Life’s sacred call.

    Feel it rise,

    Take its hand,

    Guide its path,

    Answer now, soft and whispered,

    Life’s hallowed bond,

    Ere breaks the dawn…

    Hear it hum,

    Feel its pulse,

    Watch it grow,

    See it now, quietly glowing,

    Life’s gentle flame.Hold it close,

    Shield it well,

    Watch it soar,

    Trust it now, softly breathing,

    Life’s steady grace

    (Ere breaks the dawn…)

    Life call’s resound,then stills

    Drawing us near

Bound by a promise so true

    Life drawing our souls near

    Holding breath, still

    Hearts awaken, true

Steady as we climb, through life

    Light, guiding every step

    Sense it near,

    Hear it breathe,

    Feel it glow,

See it now, softly rising,Life’s quiet flame.

    Hold it dear,

    Guard it well,

    Let it soar,

    Trust its light, gently shining,

    Life’s lasting grace.

    Ere breaks the done

    Life call’s resound,then stills

    Drawing us near

Bound by a promise so true

    Life drawing our souls near

    Holding breath, still

    Hearts awaken, true

Steady as we climb, through life

    Light, guiding every step

  • In the stillness, I wander, and gaze upon my

    dreams

Thoughts are getting too wild to hold on tight

In the stillness, I’m drifting through pages of

    the past

Things are breaking too wild and far to hold

    on tight

    Soft breath

    Across the veil

    To whispers low

    In mercy’s glow

Hear me calling, I’m drawn to mercy’s light

    Soft glow

    Beyond the dark

    To whispered peace

    In stillness found

Hear me sigh, yield, and praise to mercy’s call

In the stillness, I’m tracing the echoes left

    behind

Dreams are turning too wild and far to hold ontight

    Light breath

    Through night’s embrace

    To murmurs low

    In mercy’s glow

Hear my spirit, drawn to mercy’s light

    Soft flame

    Beyond the dusk

    To whispered calm

    In quiet rest

See me bow, in praise of mercy’s call

In the stillness, I concede, and drift among my

    dreams,

Thoughts are slipping too wild to hold them

    tight.”

In the stillness, I wander through memories of

    the past,

They’re getting too wild and far to hold them

    tight …”

  • As the rock fell and rolled through our

    lives,

    In an instant,

    Breaking your bones,

    The stone

    Froze time.

Its shadows stretched across the sky

    between you and I.

    Under April sky,

    Through your cry,

    I felt life’s sigh.

As the rock, lay and pressed on your

    frame,

    In a heartbeat,

    Strength filled my soul,

    The tree

Held strong. Its roots became the will to save,

    to lift you free.

    Under April sky,

    Through your fight,

    I saw love’s light

As we stood, in the glow of springtime’s

    bloom,

    In its stillness,

    The truth was clear,

    Our hearts

    Beat one.

The fragile gift of love and life had

    brought us back to grace.

    Under April sky,

    Through it all,

    We felt life’s call.

  • The further I wander, the closer I am to me

The longer I linger, the nearer I’m finding me.

The deeper I listen, the clearer the path will be

The softer I whisper, the stronger I hear from me.

But here I go again, back to black,

    Caught in same refrain.

But here I go again, losing track,

    Caught in same refrain.

But here I stand again, back to black,

    Caught in same old pain.

And here I fall again, losing track,

    Caught in same old pain.

Far away from home, a place for none,

I carry on, I rise, I run, until the dawn.

Far away to come, a place for one,

I run, ’til the night is done.

Far away to roam, a place for none,

I carry on, I rise, I run, until I’m home.

Far away to known, a place for one,

I run, ’til my heart is home.

But here I go again, back to black,

    Caught in same refrain.

But here I go again, losing track,

Caught in same (up)refrain. to REF + instruFar not so far, closer than it seems

    The silence grows within

Feeling lost not so lost, steel within my reach

    The darkness pulls me in

Drawing near not so near, further than it feels

    The fire burns within

    So far, not so far,

As far as me I’m finally free

Steel I rise set me free

Near, not so near, further than I knew

    The echo calls within.
